Died, in this township (Three Oaks), Febuary 25, 1895, Maria L., wife of Horace Warren. Maria L. Long was born at Chester, N.H., August 20, 1832. She married Horace Warren at Ludlow, VT, Sept. 6, 1858. In 1861 they removed to Michigan and settled in Chikaming township and in 1881 they removed to section 23 in Three Oaks township where they resided at the time of her death. Her children, Walter L. Warren, Emma M. Phillips, Adelia C. Warren, Eva B. Barnes, May F. Warren and Patty Love, All survive her and reside in this and adjoining townships. Mrs. Warren's health was much impared by sickness last summer and for the last two months she has been hovering between life and death. She was a good wife, mother and neighbor and was a useful member of the society and an earnest and devoted member of the Congregational church. She will be missed and mourned at the family hearthstone, by her neighbors and the church. The funeral services were held at the house Thursday morning at ten o'clock.
