Per Aunt Esther: Giuseppe and Maria were devout Catholics and went to church every day, and brought Francesco with them much to his dismay.   They were also the majordomos for the church.

 Per, Joe "The Frenchman" Sblendorio, the Abbatantuonos were a big and religious family.  Maria was a caretaker at Santa Maria Addolarata. Her brother was a doctor, who had a son, Vito Abbatantuono, who was a captain in the Italian Army or Navy.  He was a very good person, with a big heart.
