Grandpa Frank and Grandma Rose were married in Modugno on February 13, 1916. Witnesses were Francesco A bbatantuono (an Uncle of Grandpa), and Giorgio Mossa (son of Pasquale Mossa).

 1st Trip at 17 yrs from Napoli to NYC arrival 7/30/1905 on the Nord America with cousin Raffaele Massarelli en route to Yatesboro, PA and Uncle Giuseppe Massarelli. Rafaelle could read; Grandpa could not and had $9.50.

 The Sblenorios were a peasant family as compared to the Schirallis. Per Aunt Mary and Aunt Esther, Salvatore did not like Grandpa at all, yet he persisted in courting his daughter Rose. He would even hire troubadours to serenade her. Because of the family differences, they eloped.
