The record in the 1887 Jackson Ledger was nearly phonetically correct in saying that Margurite Arnold married a Mr. Dehew. The marriage record of Margaret Arnold and David Depue was found in the West Virginia Vital Records online data base. Unfortunately, it does not give the parents' names. Though the marriage took place in Kanawha County, the couple is found on the 1850 census living in Wirt County where her mother is found in later records. So far, this 1887 Ledger is the only record found that connects Margaret Arnold as a daughter of Benjamin Arnold. The record of her death says she was 62 years old and born in Arnoldsburg, which is in Calhoun County! She died in Jackson County where so many others of this family were living.
