!BIRTH-PARENTS-CENSUS-MARRIAGE-BURIAL: Stephen A. White, DICTIONNAIRE GENEALOGIQUE DES FAMILLES ACADIENNES; 1636-1714; Moncton, New Brunswick, Centre d'Etudes Acadiennes, 1999, 2 vols.; p. 1486; own copy. Marguerite THE'RIOT, born around 1693 [more likely earlier, since mother would be around age 48], daughter of Claude & Marie GAUTROT, appeared on census of 1698 as age 8 years (sic); 1700, age 7 years. She married (Port Royal Register) on 26 Jan 1712 to Rene' RICHARD dit BEAUPRE', son of Rene' & Madeleine LANDRY. She was on the 1763 census at MA. She was buried (Be'cancour Register) on 28 Apr 1777 at age around 97 years (sic). !CENSUS: 1693, Port Royal, Acadia; household of Claude TERRIOT, age 55, & Marie GOUTROT, age 48, with eight children ages 18 to 2. [Marguerite does not appear with family, although there is no child between Joseph, age 6 and Marie, age 2. Could she be second child named Marie, age really 4, not 2? Could she have been missed? Or could she have been born just after census taken? But mother would have been too old?] !CENSUS: 1698, Port Royal, Acadia; household of Claude TERROIT [sic], age 60 & wife Marie GOTROT, age 53, with six children age 18 to 8 years old. This girl is youngest, Margueritte, age 8 years (sic, but I believe correct). !CENSUS: 1700, Port Royal, Acadia. The two youngest children are Marie, age 9; and Marguerite, 7 years old. !NAME-MARRIAGE: Sometimes spelled THERIAULT. Arsenault, H&G, p. 806 spells TERRIOT, gives husband's name as Rene' RICHARD de BEAUPRE'. !MARRIAGES: Adrien Bergeron, LE GRAND ARRANGEMENT DES ACADIENS AU QUEBEC; 1600-1889; vol. 8; p. 49; Gail Burk's copy. Marguerite TERRIAU/THE'RIAULT, born 1667, daughter of Claude & Marie GAUTEROT, married 1st at Port Royal around 1684 to Claude LANDRY, son of Rene' & Mar. BERNARD. She married 2nd [sic] on 26 Jan 1712 at Port Royal to Rene' RICHARD, son of Rene' & Magdel. LANDRY. [These were two different sisters.] !BURIAL: Parish of La-Nativite'-de-Notre-Dame-et-St-Pierre, at Be'cancour, Quebec, Canada; Burial register. Marguerite buried 28 Apr 1777 at age around 97 years [sic]. References
