Heaton and Margaret Kimball, Monon Employees Finally Married by Indianapolis Minister The Babes in the Wood had nothing on Quinn Scott Heaton and Margaret Kimball of Lafayette who wandered into Indianapolis Thursday in quest of a minister to read the wedding ceremonial over their weary heads, says a press dispatch from that city. "The adventurers evidently expected to find numerous wearers of the cloth maintaining a sentry go on the leading thoroughfares and spent the greater part of the day in search of one such, amid the hurrying throngs. "Finally they spied a venerable appearing gentlemen who had somewhat the look of a preacher. He was assailed with the question at once, but replied that being a lawyer he was more familiar with undoing the knot than aiding and abetting in its perpetration. On The Right Trail! "The gentlemen in question was Russel B. Harrison. He offered to hunt a friend of his who was a justice of the peace and taught a Sunday school class. Consequently the wandering pair hastened to Squire T. Ernest Maholm. That pillar of the law recalled that it was prayer meeting night at his church and forthwith took them under his wing and escorted them to the Brookside United Brethern Church. "The Rev. Mr. Parson apeared shortly, and the ceremonial was the added attraction of the meeting." The bride has for the past two years and a half been employed as bill clerk at the Monon freight offices. She came here from North Dakota and has been making her home at 722 South Fifth street. Her parents live in South Bend. Mr Heaton is a brakeman running on the north end of the Monon railroad. He and his bride will live here. The employees of the Monon freight office presented the bride with a beautiful set of glassware. 1918, Polk's Lafayette City Directory Margaret Kimball, clerk, boards 1119 N. 19th St. 1920, Polk's Lafayette City Directory Margaret Kimball, stenog, Monon, boards 722 S 5th St. 1924, Polk's Lafayette City Directory Margaret Kimball, record clerk, Soldiers Home Mrs. Margaret Heaton, h 1822 Wilson St. Quinn F.
