    Margaret was the daughter of Henry & Catherine Hornbarger.

    On 1 December 1829, she allegedly 'married' John Kirk. Unfortunately, John was still married to another woman, Eva Nosler. When John left Eva for Margaret Trinkle, she applied for the divorce on the grounds of adultry in 1836 in Owen Co, IN. This was 7 years after he allegedly 'married' Margaret.

    They were the parents of 7 children-Rebecca, Stephen Rudolphus, Eliza Jane, Hannah, Sarah Elizabeth, John Riley, and Amanda.
