Margaret Wingard was born in Alsace in Germany, November 8th, 1830 and moved with her parents to American at the age of eleven years. she was converted 40 years ago at oak Grove and joined the United Brethen church at West Buffalo and that when the church was built became Mt Olive. She was an earnest, faithful and consecrated servant of the Lord. and at the time of her departure was an honored member of the church she lived and labored in so long. she passed from labor to reward July 4th, 1912, aged 81 years, 7 months and 26 days. She was united in marriage March 8th, 1849 with Jacob Wingard and they began the making of the home which she so recently exchanged for her heavenly home. Her husband having passed on before her 17 years ago. To this union were born four children, two sons and two daughters. Frank of Montpelier, O; John of Syracuse , Ind., 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, C W Thomas and his sister, Mrs. E Troyer, whom she mothered when they were orphans with the church and many friends are bereaved today. The funeral services were held from the Mt Olive church July 7th, 1912, conducted by her paster J P Hight. Burial in Mt. Olive cemetery where her husband and two daughters with her await the resurrection morning. Those present from out of the neighborhood were: C W Thomas of Kimmel, Ind.
