Dau of Ben & Lucinda Ruyle Scott; sis of Annie.

Obit: Margaret "Maggie" Scott Morrow: May 16, 1919 Wed pm, May 7, Mrs Margaret Morrow, wife of A.R.Morrow, residing on a farm south of Athensville, was so severly burned that she died of her injuries, 6 hours afterward. She had not been in good health of late and was almost helpless, calling to her husband by tapping with her cane when she needed his assistance. That afternoon he had left her sitting in a chair in the house while he worked in the garden. Having heard the call of the cane about 3 pm he hurried to the house only to find his wife sitting in her chair wrapped in flames. He smothered the flames with blankets but not until she had been fatally burned. The supposition is that her clothing caught fire from a match as she was in the habit of smoking. He entire body, except a portion of her left arm was seared by the cruel blaze; her clothes were almost totally destroyed, yet she never was able to leave her chair. She was the daughter of the late Benj. and Lucinda Scott. Born Mar 22, 1847, and married to A.R. Morrow, Feb 9, 1870. No children to this union.
