The only record found thus far indicating that this woman even existed is Lewis Elmer Saunders' death certificate, which states 'Margaret Metz' was his mother. Obituaries for two of Metz children indicate that there were seven children in their family unit, but they do not list Margaret's name. Margaret hasn't been found on census records thus far, even when she should have most likely been there, namely the 1860 census, which has the Metz name written incorrectly (Matry?). The names of all the family members on the 1860 census record fit this family unit, including Sarah's mother, C Swihart and Sarah's brother Daniel Swihart (written "Swikart" on the record). At one time, a book containing a biography of one of the brothers was found, but the reference has since been lost.
