Margaret Jamison was born on 24 January 1788, in Woodford, Kentucky, United States, her father, John Jamison, was 38 and her mother, Rhoda Cook, was 28. She married John Douglas on 30 March 1803, in Glasgow, Barren, Kentucky, United States. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 9 daughters. She died on 3 July 1856, in Saline, Illinois, United States, at the age of 68, and was buried in Campground Cemetery, Washington, Texas, United States.
