    Funeral Held for Mrs. Mamie Owen -- Funeral services were conducted for Mrs.
    Mamie Evans Owen, 59, at the Concord Baptist Church last Thursday, July 11.
    The Rev. Dee Hurst and Cecil Harrington officiated, with Blair Funeral Home in
    charge. Burial was in church cemetery.

    Mrs. Owen passed at her home Tuesday night, July 9th, following an illness of
    several months. She had lived in Clay County most of her life. She was a
    member of the Concord Baptist Church.

    Survivors include her husband Pelzer Owen, Rt. 3, Lineville; her father, Lee
    Evans, Rt. 3, Lineville; two sons, Knox Owen, Miami, Fla.; Harold Owen, Forth
    Bragg, N.C.; two daughters, Mrs. Jack Fields, Montgomery, Mrs. Bob Bowman, Rt.
    3, Lineville; four sisters, Mrs. Leonard Smith, Atlanta, Mrs. Dick Campbell,
    Rt. 3, Lineville, Mrs. Dewey Shaddix, Gadsden, Mrs. W. F. Owen, Rt. 3,
    Lineville; five brothers, Hubert Evans, Oxford, Bill Evans, Glencoe, Elmer
    Evans, Rome, Ga., Hoyt Evans, Delta, and nine grandchildren.
