Her last day of life was pretty phenomenal -- it was a Sunday and she was reading the paper and saw that the Eddie Murphy movie, "Dr. Doolittle," was playing. She asked her sister if she'd like to go see it. Elisabeth answered that it would be fun and why not make a day of it and go out for lunch. So, off they went. They ate at Lena's favorite restaurant, went to the movie, had lots of laughs, and started to walk out. Elisabeth told Lena to walk along at her pace and Elisabeth would go get the car and bring it up to the door so Lena wouldn't have as far to walk.

Elisabeth was waiting for what he felt was longer than she should have when up an ambulance came. Elisabeth, suspecting something was wrong, ran into the movie theater to find her sister lying dead on the floor surrounded by a crowd. A woman told her that she was walking next to Lena when she said, "Oh, my," and then dropped to the floor. What a lovely way to die -- have a good meal, see a funny movie, and go with just an "Oh my."
