1900 Polk Co, Iowa Census Ed 73, Sheet 11B shows that Nettie had 1 child, 1 living, but this may have been misinterpretation. That census shows son Fred V. living with Edward B. and Nettie E. Eens (Evans). Present conclusion is that either Mae died before then or prior information about his child was totally incorrect. To hold this name until documented better, she is shown here. A 1954 card to Orville and Lucy from MaeThompson gave some vita data (used here) on "Mother Evans", Fred, and father Evans, mentioned that her two girls were near: Gretchen in Altudena and Betty in Pasadena about a mile from her. The card was signed "The Thompson family".
