    I Certify, That the within named Madison Rasberry, a private of Captain Alfred V. Gardner's Company D of the 29th Regiment of Alabama Volunteers born in Putnam Co., in the State of Georgia, aged 53 years, 5 feet, 10 inches high, Light complexion, Grey eyes, Light hair, and by occupation a Farmer was enlisted by Capt. A. V. Gardner at Randolph on the 20th day of October 1862 to serve War and is now entitled to discharge by reason of Surgeons Certificate of Disabiltiy. The said Madison Rasberry was last paid by Capt. McVay to include the 28th day of February 1863, and has pay due from that date to the present date. There is due him ? for clothing from Oct. 8th 1862. Given in duplicate at Mobile, this 23rd day of July 1863. Signed, ? Clifton 1st Lieutenant, Commanding Company. Signed Madison Rasberry his mark.
