Madeleine BRUN, baptized in the parish register of LaChaussée (Poitou), France, on 25 Jan 1645, mother was Vincende BREAU [sic, godfather?]. Sponsors: Vincent BREAU & Madeleine AMAUGER. On the 1671 census of Port Royal she was 25 years old; in 1686 census she is 45 years [sic] or 47 [sic]; in 1693 census, age 48; on 1698 age 56 [sic]. She married 1st at Port Royal around 1666 to Guillaume TRAHAN, son of Nicolas & Renée DESLOGES, widower of Francoise CORBINEAU. She married 2nd around 1684 to Pierre BÉZIER dit JOAN dit LARIVIERE. She died at Port Royal before the census of 1700. Madeleine BRUN, daughter of Vincent & Marie (BRAULT) BRUN [English style], married at Port Royal around 1660 to Charles ROBICHAUX, born in France, son of Louis ROBICHAUX (who was born in France about 1609 and died 3 Jan 1649, age 40 years, while on a trip to Québec, where he is buried). On Folio 19: Madelenne [sic] BRUN, living with Guilleaume TRAHAN and three boys and three girls. !CENSUS-NAME: 1686, Port Royal, Acadia, appeared twice, age 47 [really 40?] years, with husband, 6 children from first marriage, and baby Susanne JOAN, 2 months. Name spelled Magdelaine BRIN on one entry. !CENSUS: 1686, again in Port Royal (on p. 16), without any husband, age 45 [!] years. Living with sons age 16 to 20, and 3 daughters., not specified. "Et de La Riviere son second mary elle a eu Susanne Riviere ..0.5 mois." Property has decreased. Now only have 1 gun, 2 arpens worked land, 7 cattle, 3 sheep and 4 pigs. !CENSUS: 1693, Les Mines, age 48 years, with all 6 children (minus Suzanne) now married.
