Mrs. Mabel Emma Thompson, 54, 802 Fayette st., died at a local hospital Thursday. She was born Sept. 8, 1896 at Chesaning, and had lived in Lansing for the past 20 years. Surviving are the husband, G. Parke Thompson; two daughters, Mrs. Navis Johns of Holt and Mrs. Donna Jean Guernsey of Okemos; two sons, Dayle Thompson of Lansing and Leonard Thompson in the U.S. navy, stationed in the Philippines; seven grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Bertie Clemmer of Lansing and Mrs. Alice Elliot of Miami, Fla. ; a brother Kenneth Foster; a stepmother, Mrs. Laura Foster, and a stepbrother, George Elliott, all of Miami, Fla. The body was removed to the Gorsline-Runciman funeral home. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
