Lydia Rogers
d.Bet 1704 and 1725
Facts and Events
Origins
Because of the number of contemporary John Rogers in Massachusetts, linking Lydia with the appropriate John Rogers requires additional attention:
- She was NOT the granddaughter of Mayflower Thomas Rogers. His son John did not have a daughter Lydia.
- She was not the daughter of John Rogers who married Ann Churchman; they did not have a daughter Lydia.
- She WAS the daughter of Deacon John Rogers of Weymouth, whose 1660/61 will makes reference to a daughter, Lydia, wife of Capt. Joseph White. Similarly, "Descendants of Thomas White of Weymouth, Mass": [Joseph White's] "wife was Lydia Rogers, daughter of John Rogers."
