BIOGRAPHY: The Hazen Family in America A Genealogy by Tracy Elliot Hazen, Ph.D Robert Hazen, M.D. Thomaston, Conn. 1947 Page 142 The will of Joshua Kirkland of Rome, dated 29 Aug. 1832, was proved 17 May 1833 on oath of Daniel Butts and Daniel Bushnell. By its terms the sons George and Andrew, who were named executors, received his farm of 170 acres, and Henry and Benjamin each $50, and Lydia, wife of Daniel W. Knight, $100. The executors' petition states that the above named heirs, also the son Joseph Kirkland, and Susanna Kirkland, widow of testator, were all living in Oneida County, except Benjamin, who resides in Seneca County.
