[nee Milstead] is 49 from Kentucky.  Their children are Lydia E., 22; John H., 24; Charles, 17; Andrew A., 15; George L., 12; James T., 10; and Thomas E., 7 -- all born Illinois. {p.657d}

 In the 1910 census for San Jose village in Allen Grove, Mason Co., Illinois, Lydie E. Shankland is 51 b. Illinois (father Tennessee, mother Kentucky) married once, with 3 of 4 children living; sons are Adrain B. 22 'city drayman', Howard A. 17 -- both born Illinois (father Kentucky, mother Illinois).{ed 60, sh 1b, p. 181} Her son Ellsworth is in the same village, age 28 born Illinois (parents same), married once for 4 years, 'riverman'; with wife Kathryn 24, born Illinois (father Ohio, mother Germany) with 2 of 2 children living; children are Lyle 3 and Freeman 1 month -- both born Illinois. {ed 60, sh 1b, p.184}
