Daily Times-News, The Wednesday, December 31, 1969 LUTHER Herman SUTTON of Rt. died in a hospital Tuesday night at o'clock after a few hours of illness. A native of Rockingham County he was the son of the late P.P. and Emma Southard Sutton. He was a self-employed salesman and a member of the First Baptist Church of Yanceyville. He is survived by his wifeMrs.. Minnie Lee Isley SUTTON of the home; daughter Mrs. Emma Lee Hilton of Rt. 6. Burlington; one son L.H. SUTTON Jr.. of ?; five sisters- Mrs.. Grace Bradner . . . Mrs.. Beulah Thompson of Mrs.. Evelyn Duvall of Mrs.. Elizabeth Snead of Yancey- and Mrs.. Bessie Betorri of three brothers Paul SUTTON of Va.. Patterson SUTTON of and Robert Daniel SUTTON of and three grandchildren. Final rites will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Friendship United Methodist Church. The Rev. George will assisted by the Rev. Raymond pastor of Antioch Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will remain at Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Bur- lington until taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will be at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 o'clock.
