- Born during the close of the Revolutionary War. He came to Georgia with his family about 1830 or 1840, in search of bounty lands after the Cherokee Indians were moved from Georgia to Oklahoma.The family came in a covered wagon and settled in the Falling Creek area of Jasper County. Recorded as a resident of Jackson County, Georgia in the 1830 census. In the 1840 & 1850 Census a Lundy Huff was recorded as living in Jasper County. He is said to be buried at "the old home place" (Huff family cemetery), site of cemetery unknown.
