"Michael Muller was the son of Ludwig Muller and his wife Anna Margaretha of Zuzenhauser in the Northern Kraichgau region of Germany located east of the Rhine River, southeast of Mannheim and east of Karlsruhe. Michael's birth date is unknown, but it is believed he was born prior to 1704 when the Neckargemund Lutheran Church book was begun. While his baptism was not recorded in the church book the records of the baptisms of Ludwig Muller's younger children are found. The other children were: Johann Georg, born October 13, 1706; Anna Maria Margaretha, born December 20,1711; and Anna Maria, born September 17, 1715. According to the church book, on July 28, 1717, Michael's father 'was struck by a stone in the quarry,' presumably where he worked, and was killed.
