Lucy Jane's birth location was taken from the 1930 death certificate of her daughter Bettie Louise Jackson London.

From the Alstons and Allstons of North and South Carolina book, p 179: "Lucy Worth is a daugther of Gov. Jonathan Worth. She is a lady of fine attainments and artistic ability and is aunt of Worth Bagley, the first hero to fall in the Spanish-American War. On the 27th Nov., 1800, their 50th wedding anniversary was celebrated in Pittsboro, of which a very intereting account was given in the Chatham Record. It was made the occasion of family reunion, many congratulations and much enjoyment."
