She had been married to a Barber also. By May 1991, she was using the name Lucy Curtis Love as evidenced by a quitclaim deed dated 2 May 1991 in Alamance County. The property was quitclaimed to Willard Lewis Barber.

BURLINGTON — Mrs.. Lucy Curtis Love, 88, a resident of Alamance Health Care Center, died at 5:39 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2001, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.

A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Gervas E. Love, and the daughter of William Oscar Curtis and Margaret Griffin Curtis, both deceased. She was a retired employee of Burlington Industries.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs.. Linda L. Foss of Annandale, Va.; a sister, Mrs.. Josephine C. Clapp of Burlington; and two brothers, Mr. Marvin C. Curtis and Mr. James E. Curtis, both of Graham.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington by the Rev. Howard Thompson. Burial will be in Bethlehem Wesleyan Church cemetery.

The family will be at Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday.
