In 1880 Census records Lucinda and her new husband are living within 3 households of both of their parents, all recorded on the same page: James Jackson and Rebecca Baker are 294/304; Jacob R. Baker and his wife Rebecca are 295/305 Lucinda Jackson has married Thomas J. Baker and they are enumerated with Columbus Wheeler at 298/308. Columbus is a widower with two small children. It is supposed that Thomas and Lucinda are possibly helping with the two children and farm work.

These Baker individuals are on the same page as their father Jacob Rushing Baker. I believe Lucinda J. is d/o James F. Jackson and Mary Piland though her mother's birth state does not agree. Lucinda was only 10 when her mother died. She probably has given the birth state of her step-mother.

Ah, Barbara Crumpton has that these children are Lucinda's plus the record immediately above this one is for their dau Minnie. Ach!! This family has apparently moved and been enumerated twice!! Here they are again and this time, Minnie is NOT close to them and their birth years are different tho the months are the same. This census taken first, so perhaps Thomas moved to be closer to his newly married daughter. He was renting. 1900 Census Dist 133, Township 2, Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory enumerated 14 June 1900 Roff town hh # 154/165 Baker, Thomas J. head W M Oct 1853 46 Wd TN TN TN carpenter (house) Baker, Monroe J. son W M Sept 1882 17 S TX TN TX carpenter (house) Baker, Nelia F. dau W F Oct 1885 14 S TX TN TX Baker, Leonard H. son W M Feb 1891 9 S TX TN TX
