Obituary originally published in The Parkersburg News, Sunday, 10 April 1932, pg. 11. Found posted on her Find-a-Grave memorial page and copied from there. "Mrs. Lucy C. Jackson, 86, died at 5:15 o'clock Saturday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Grant Bailey, 1447 Seventh Street, after an illness of two weeks. She was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal church of Davisville.

"Mrs. Jackson leaves five daughters, Mrs. Grant Bailey, at whose home she died, Mrs W.A. Ross, Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Miner Hall, of Weston; Miss Lilly Jackson, of Weston; Mrs. Keever Drain and Mrs. W.C. Dusky, both of Parkersburg; two brothers, James Caplinger of Kanawha Station and William Caplinger of Flemington, W.Va.

"A short funeral service will be held Monday afternoon at 1:15 o'clock at the home of Mrs. Bailey in Seventh Street and final rites will be held at 2:30 o'clock at the First Methodist Episcopal church in Davisville. Burial will be made in the church cemetery. The body will be removed from the Franklin funeral home to the home of the daughter in Seventh Street this afternoon."
