Lucille married Dick Phillips, D.O. at Des Moines. They had 3 children, but reared only one (John). I was told that the others died in infancy. This information from sister Mary (age 97 at the time, but lucid). As of May 1999 Lucille was living at the same Ankeny, IA nursing home as her older sister, Mary. At that time her son John was periodically visiting his mother there from near Council Bluffs, IA. She later was moved to a nursing home nearer to her son. Her neice, Barbara Braught Olsen thought her legal name was Elsie Lucille, not reversed; but every one called her Lucille. Her son John transported her to Ankeny, IA Thankgiving Day 2001 to share in the 100th birthday celebration of her sister, Mary (I attended also and have photos of the family there). I received some Alloway data March 2002 from Elaine Kalostos ([email protected]: 645 Queens Ave. Apt. 73, Yuha City, CA 93991; (530) 790-7013) plus a photo copy of Elsie Lucille Alloway, age 18 months. 3 Feb. 2003 email from Christy (Olson) Campbell advised of Lucille's death 3:30 AM Sunday 2 Feb. of lung blood clot after 3 months illness. Funeral Tues. April 4 at Council Bluffs, IA and burial afterwards at Fremont, NE.
