Louise Whittaker: Louise Whittaker, daughter of James Christopher Whittaker and Hannah Elizabeth Horton. Born about 1901, in Utah. Married Elbert L. Cox, 17 June 1930, at Circleville, Piute, Utah.

1920: Living in Circleville. Attended school in 1919; can read and write.

20 March 1925: Wednesday evening will witness a demonstration by the pupils of Miss Louise Whittaker in a dancing revue of variety. They will show modes of Egyptian, Japanese, Flowers, Spring, Roof Garden, scarf, and a number of others. The entertainment is the first of its kind ever to be held in our community and will prove a new step in the modern era of the girls' development. Attractive costumes and an appropriate stage will make the event a colorful one. This will be followed by a public dance.(PCN) Name found in list of school teachers in Piute County, "from records and memory", from beginning to 1950.

20 June 1930: Elbert L. Cox of Beaver and Louise Whittaker of Circleville united in marriage at the home of the bride on Tuesday, June 17th. They left immediately for a two week trip along the coast. Mr. Cox is the forest Ranger on the mountains between here and Beaver and recently had published in the Piute County News the gazetteer of Piute County. Louise is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Whittaker of Circleville and is well known throughout southern Utah. The many friends of the young couple join with the News in wishing for them the best of everything in life.
