Husband David is not on the 1910 census. Calhoun Newspaper, Grantsville, WV Thursday, April 19, 1951 Mrs. Hamric Dies in Fairmont Mrs. Louise E. Hamric, 81, died at 2:30 o'clock Saturday morning, April 7 at the Fairmont General Hospital, Fairmont, W.Va., after a short illness. Mrs. Hamric was born at Euclid, Calhoun county, the daughter of William and Sarah Knotts. She was a member of the Baptist church at Euclid. Mrs. Hamric was twice married: David Gibson was her first husband and David Hamric of Tate, W.Va., Braxton county, was her second husband. Both preceded her in death. After Mrs. Hamric's marriage to David Gibson and until her second marriage, she lived at Gip, W.Va., Braxton county, where she was left a widow to rear her family. She was postmistress there for a number of years. She worked hard to keep her family together and was loved and respected by all who knew her. In recent years she has made her home with her children in Fairmont. Surviving children are Mrs. E. H. Gwynn, Mrs. Arlie Hall, Charley H. Gibson of Fairmont and Mrs. Ada Stump of Gassaway, W.Va. Four children died in infancy and two other sons, Otis and Ralph are deceased. Also surviving are three brothers; William H. Knotts, Vinton, O., Robert J. Knotts, Grantsville and Warren Knotts of Euclid; and two sisters, Mrs. Emma Witt of Grantsville and Mrs. Mary Chenoweth of Parkersburg; 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:30 Sunday afternoon at the home of one of her daughters, Mrs. E. H. Gwynn of Fairmont, with Rev. J. William Bonner officiating. Interment was made in the Elmira Baptist Church Cemetery, Elmira, Braxton County.
