Funeral services for Louis Weissman, 79 years old, retired businessman, were held at 2 p.m. May 23 in Beth-El Zedeck Temple, 600 West 70th Street. Burial was in Beth-El Zedeck Cemetery.

Mr. Weissman, 5957 Washington Boulevard, died May 22 in a local nursing home. He was the owner and operator of the former Weissman Auto Sales until his retirement two years ago.

A charter member of BethEl Zedeck Congregation, Mr. Weissman was a member of the Temple Brotherhood. He also was a member of the Indiana Association of Automobile Dealers.

Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Fannie Weissman; four daughters, Mrs. Sydney Gernstein, Mrs. Alex Epstein, Mrs. Monroe Marcus and Mrs. Helvin January, all of Indianapolis; a son, Dr. Herbert Weissman of Gary; three brothers, Jack, Sam and Dr. Meyer Weissman, all of Los Angeles, Calif.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.* Reference: Find A Grave Memorial - SmartCopy: Dec 29 2024, 12:18:12 UTC
