O'NEIL, Loren F. - Private family services for Loren F. O'Neil, age 88, who died in Bellingham on Monday, October 5, 1987, were conducted on Saturday, Oct. 10, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Gillies Funeral Home with Rev. John Leaf officiating. Burial following in Lynden Cemetery. Mr. O'Neil, formerly of 1402 Main St., Lynden, was born April 14, 1899 on land that his parents, Edward and Mary Jane O'Neil, homesteaded in 1874 at what is now the Guide Meridian and Main Street. He resided on the family property until he entered a rest home in Bellingham in 1982. He is survived by nephews William O'Neil and wife Luannis of Bellingham and James Gibbons in Arizona; great-nieces Mrs. Erin Moe of Mount Vernon, Mrs. Merideth Shuler of Kent, Mrs. Sharon Cry, Mrs. Sharon Vossler and Mrs. Colleen Barnett, all of Vancouver, Wash., and great-nephews Delwyn, Dwight and Carl Gibbons, also all of Vancouver. Memorials may be made to your favorite charity. Funeral services were under the direction of Gillies Funeral Home.
