Obituary published in the Walla Walla Union Bulletin, Walla Walla, Washington 7 Nov 1976: LOLA JACKSON: Milton-Freewater - Lola Heskett Jackson, 85, Route 2, Milton-Freewater, died Friday at Sunny Valley Sanitarium at Walla Walla. The funeral service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Munsell-Rhoades Funeral ome with the Rev. Melvin Dixon of the Milton-Freewater Wesleyan Methodist church officiating. Burial will be at Milton-Freewater Cemetery. She was born Oct. 18, 1891 to Robert and Laura Heskett at La Grande. She moved to the Milton-Freewater area in 1919. She graduated from the University of Oregon at Eugene. She married Dr. Ivan C. Jackson at Wallowa June 14, 1915. They lived at Milton-freewater until moving to Portland in 1941. He practiced medicine at Portland until his retirement in 1963, when they returned to their farm at Milton-Freewater. Dr. Jackson died May 11. Survivors include a son, William Jackson of Milton-Freewater; a daughter, Charlene Aumack of Fort Bragg, Calif.; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
