Lois Edna BOLINGER, 69, Argos, died Friday at 4 p.m. in Marshall county Parkview hospital, Plymouth. She had been ill one year.
Born Dec. 23, 1900, in Wabash county, she was the daughter of Edward and Sarah MORTS OYLER. Her marriage was June 21, 1923, in Wabash, to Earl BOLINGER, who survives. Moving from Villa Park, Ill., she had lived in the Argos community for the past 34 years. She was a member of the Walnut Church of the Brethren; the Walnut township Home Economics club, and the Gold Star Mothers club, all of Argos. She had served as the secretary of the Argos library board and as the leader of the Walnut township Farm Bureau.
Surviving with the husband are two daughters, Mrs. Roy (Esther) REED, Lapaz, and Mrs. Robert (Doris) KINGSAFER, South Bend; one son, Edward BOLINGER, Wheaton, Ill., eleven grandchildren, and four sisters, Mrs. Lyman (Frances) FRICK, Mexico, and Mrs. Sharon (Ellen) REED, Mrs. Oliver (Dorthea) MELICK and Mrs. Maurice (Kathryn) KEM, all of LaFontaine. One son and two brothers preceded in death.
Final rites will be Monday at 2 p.m. in the Walnut church of the Brethren with the Revs. Jack KLINE and Paul LANTIS officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Church of the Brethren cemetery. Friends may call at the Grossman funeral home, Argos, after 7 p.m. today and until noon Monday, and then at the church one hour before services. The family requests that memorials other than flowers be made in the form of contributions to the Coronary Care Unit, Marshall County Parkview hospital, Plymouth.
