... son of Peter and Ruth (Whips) Pool...

Between 13 and 26 May 1813, Lloyd Pool was a private in Capt. Thomas Owings' Company of the 32nd Regiment, stationed at Annapolis.

On 23 March 1805, George Whips, of Anne Arundel Co., and wife Susanna, conveyed to John Whips and Lloyd Pool portions of First Choice, 21 acres, Hood's Friendship, 6 acres, and part of Whips Hill Resurveyd.

On 23 March 1807, John Whips Pool and Lloyd Pool stated they were indebted to George Whips, who was intending to move shortly to Kentucky.

In his will, he left 1/3 of his farm, 1/3 of his money, and 1/3 of his property to his wife Naomi. He also named his children Henry Pool, Joseph Pool, Reuben Pool, Asenath Shipley, Ketura Shipley, Sarah Ann Grimes, Hammutal Wilson, Mary Ann Creswell, and Martha Ann Pool.

On the 1830 census, Lloyd Pool had one female slave.

Photos from Tom Lavin, a descendant of Lloyd Pool

Benjamin Peyton Pool had a farm near Damascus named "Deer Field" and it was big enough that he had people working there. Etta Olive Pool was my grandmother, her father was Benjamin Peyton Pool, son of Rueben, son of Lloyd. The photos are of the house at Deer Field and Benjamin and his family. It must be circa 1895. Great grandma Pool would have been Rachel (Shipley) Pool, born 1812, and her sister was Ruth Anne Shipley born 1826. My grandmother Nanny (we used to call her that, her real name was Olive,) was 2 or 3 in the picture and she was born in 1892.
