My great great grandfather Ambrose Ashton married Mary Annie Cummins, on December 22, 1863 in Allen Co., IN. Mary's parents were Henry Cummins and Maria Kilborn. Henry was born in Vermont in 1816 and was the son of Lindon Cummins and Marie Wilkerson. Lindon and his wife lived in New York when Henry was seven years old and later moved to Circleville, Ohio.

Linden (Joseph's son) Cummins was most likely born in Vermont and was married to Maria Wilkerson. In 1823 they left Vermont and came to New York with their son Henry. Henry was born in Vermont on February 23, 1816. In 1836 the family moved to the Western part of Ohio and Linden remained there for about 15 years before moving on to Indiana.

From Amy Keefer: Linden Cummins: He was married to Maria Wilkerson. In 1823 they moved to New York, and in 1836 they moved to the Western reserve of Ohio. They had a son named Henry.
