Richard Alexander OSWALD of Auchincruive (1771 Scotstoun-1841 Vevey) was MP for Ayrshire; Richard married (1) Louisa JOHNSTON and (2) Lady Lilias MONTGOMERIE (Old country houses of the old Glasgow gentry). Richard (b. 18feb1771) married Lilias Montgomerie or MacQueen aug1817 at St. Quivox and Newton, Ayrshire (IGI). Richard, son of George Oswald and Margaret Smith, marroed Lilias Montgomerie, daughter of Hugh Earl of Eglintoun Montgomerie and Eleonora Hamilton 21aug1817 at Kilwinning, Ayrshire (IGI). Lady Lilias (d. 10sep1845) was widow of Robert Dundas MacQueen of Braxfield and daughter of Hugh Montgomerie, 12th Earl of Eglinton (Burke's Landed Gentry, 2001).
