Lewis Guice Clark, age 94, of Lilburn, passed away on Saturday September 13, 2008.
The funeral will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday September 16, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Lilburn with the remains placed in state at 10:30 AM. Mrs. Susan Rumble will officiate and interment will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park, Atlanta. Born April 3, 1914 in Delta, Alabama, Mr. Clark served in the Army in Japan and Hawaii during WWII. He worked for National Linen as a painter and owned his own business doing painting and body work on cars. After retirement, he enjoyed working in his garden and building beautiful wood pieces in his shop. He loved and was devoted to his family and friends. When someone needed something, he was always there. Most of all, he was devoted to service for the Lord. He prayed constantly and was never afraid to share his testimony about what the Lord had done for him. Lewis was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lilburn. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Audrey Clark of Lilburn; sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald & Linda Clark of Nicholson, Marion & Jean Clark of Tucker, Larry Clark of Lilburn, Joel & Nancy Clark of Lawrenceville, Jonathan & Linda Clark of Marietta; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy & Russell Adamson of Talking Rock; 38 grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Jewell P. Clark, Walter Clarke, Dean Clarke, Donald Clarke, Eugene Clarke; sister, Regina Dobbs; one sister-in-law and one brother-in-law. The family will receive friends Monday from 2 - 4 and from 6 - 8 PM at Bill Head Funeral Homes and Crematory, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel.
