Lewis Beacham of Laurens Co., born about 1808 in either Montgomery or Bulloch County Georgia was my gggg Grandfather. Lewis and his first wife, Mary were the parents of 3 children: John G. Beacham, born 1833, married Martha Ann Davis. John and Martha were my ggg grandparents. John had two brothers: Elijah L. Beacham, born 1837 (or 1840), died 1910 in Laurens Co. He may have been married twice, first to Ellen Butts and second to Eliza Herndon on July 5, 1874, Henry S. Beacham, born April 8, 1836 and died 1907 in Laurens Co. Reportedly his wife was named Sophronia (maiden name unknown). A distant cousin who has the information included in Henry's obituary states Henry's survivors included a wife and several children in "South Georgia." I haven't been able to locate either of these men listed in census reports since 1850 when they are shown living in the household of their Father, Lewis and his second wife (Martha L. Knight). Would so appreciate any clue or bit of information anyone may have on either Elijah L. or his brother, Henry S. Beacham, their wives and/or children. Thank you, Carolyn

TAXES: Lewis Beacham is listed on the 1841 Emanuel County Tax Digest having 883 of Pine Land and 1 slave and living in the 49 District.
