Levi Ash was born about 1839. He was the son of John Ash and Hannah (Underwood) Ash.

Marriage

Levi Ash and Nancy "Rebecca" (Davisson) Ash married on December 25, 1862 in Harrison County, Virginia (now West Virginia) by Matthew Maddox. Levi was 25 years, 8 months and 15 days. Rebecca was 17 years, 7 months, and 8 days. Both were single. (West Virginia Archives - Marriage)

Levi Ash purchased 64 acres, 3 roods, and 12 percheson on Riggin's Run, Doddridge County, West Virginia from John A Ash and Hannah Ash on October 19, 1867. (Deed Book 6 page 308)

Death

Levi Ash passed away on January 2,1913. He was buried in Sedalia Cemetery, Doddridge, West Virginia. [2]

Discrepancies

Tombstone gives birthdate as 1844. When Levi married in 1862 the record states years 23 months 8 days 29.
