Washington, died 13 Jan 1981 in a local hospital. Graveside services were held Wednesday afternoon in Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Merle Parker officiating. Steel and Thomas Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Jackson was born near Maxey on 21 May 1905, daughter of Luther Raper and Etta Moore Raper. She married Jeff C. Jackson on 7 Nov 1925; he preceded her in death on 23 Jul 1969. Mrs. Jackson was a housewife and had been a resident of Lamar County all of her life. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Gay Gordon of Paris and Mrs. Max (Etta) Jones of Joshua; three brothers, Alton Raper and H.L. Raper, both of Powderly and Edgar Raper of Paris; one sister, Mrs. Joe (Sarah) Armstrong of Paris; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.'
