He was a cowboy, living in Findlay Ohio, per Dewey Hosler. Obituary HOSLER - Leo Laverne Hosler died on April 12, 1992 in the Brooks Health Centre at the age of 79 years. He was born in Shandleigh, Alberta and attended school at Cessford and Bellingham, Wash., and was later employed by the CPR for a few years. In 1943 he moved to Duchess worked on the family farm until 1947. He then worked on the Vee Bar Vee Ranch and from 1952-1957 worked with Bill and Lee Hunt on their ranch at Wardlow. From 1957 to 1960 he was employed with the EID. He married the former Martha Parker in August 1960 and moved to Ohio and worked with a contractor as a pipe fitter and machine operator. He returned to Alberta in August, 1987 and had resided in Suffield since. He was predeceased by his wife Martha on January 15, 1983 also his parents and one brother. Surviving are his sister, Geneva Mackenzie of Ralston, nieces and nephews, Margaret Henschel of Calgary, Bill Mackenzie of Gregoire Lake, Alberta, Darlene Stimson of Duchess and Louis Perry of Wrentham, Alberta as well as numerous grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins and special friends, Larry and Rita Scott of Suffield. Services were held on Wednesday (today), April 15 at 11 a.m. in Smith Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Ken Grambo officiating. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorial tributes may be made to Brooks Health Centre Palliative Care or the charity of choice. Cremation and arrangements in care of Smith Funeral Home.
