- ↑ Lenore, 92, of Lake Odessa, passed away Thursday, her residence. She was the daughter of Elmer and Laura (Black) Shellenbarger.
She graduated from Lake Odessa High School in 1936 and married Bradley H. Peirce on January 6, 1945. He preceded her in death on August 25, 1981.
Lenore worked at AC Spark Plug in Ionia during World War II and then at West Elementary School in Lake Odessa as a cook for 39 years. She was a member of Sebewa Church of God for 56 years and was dedicated to her Lord and served Him faithfully. Lenore loved everyone and everyone loved her.
Lenore was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bradley; sister, Louise Pennington; brother, Donald Shellenbarger.
Surviving is her son, Norwin (Ruth) Peirce of Grand Rapids; sisters, Janet Mouser of Lake Odessa and Lucy (Ray) Foust of Grand Blanc; sister-in-law, June Shellenbarger of Lake Odessa; numerous nieces and nephews; great and great great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Lenore were conducted on Tuesday at Central United Methodist Church, Lake Odessa.
