11 Mar 1955 - Last rites for Mrs. Lenora Bell Rhodes, age 73, who died in Shreveport, Thursday, March 3, were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, March 4 at Fort Jesup Baptist church with Rev. Jimmie Thorpe officiating, assisted by Rev. Carr, Rev. H. H. Tibbitts and Rev. Earl Marr. Interment was in Fort Jesup cemetery under the direction of Warren Funeral Home.

Surviving: Sons, Johnnie of Many, Horace of Doyline, Roy, Elmer and Chester of Shreveport; daughters, Mrs. Wilson Flanniken of Many, Mrs. Amos Austin of Shreveport and Mrs. Ira Williams of Mobile, Ala.; sisters, Mrs. W. T. Key of Many, Mrs. Ida Dowden of Shreveport, Mrs. Ellen Dowden of Shreveport, Mrs. Nettie Rhodes of Alexandria, Mrs. Lou McDaniel of Hornbeck; brother, Marion Dowden, of Arizona; 32 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren

Pallbearers were T. W. Marr, Bill Lester, Gilbert Bush, Sylvester Colston, Vernon Adams and Willie Bell.
