OBITUARY - Adelphi Border News - April 12, 1901
Died Near Lancaster.
The venerable mother of Mr. Robert Goodman, who was removed from this place a few weeks ago, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Isaac George, near Lancaster, on Monday last. As is well-known the old lady has not been right in mind for many years, and in this helpless condition she was cared for by her son Robert and his family, until a few weeks ago, when Mr. Goodman's wife became seriously ill. It was then found necessary to remove her to the home of her daughter over near Lancaster, where the old lady, already at the point of death soon expired. Although death is sad at all times, yet in this case, it was to be welcomed, as the poor woman was a burden to all about her, while life to her was but a drag.

The remains were brought here Tuesday morning, and services were held at the M.E. church, with Rev. M. Dent as officiating minister. Many relatives from a distance and sympathizing friends were in attendance. Interment was made in the Strous (Belle View) Cemetery.
