Yeakel,reports that Lars was the scion of a wealthy family who moved to lowerValdres and purchased land from Nes Hallingdal, establishing the Nes farm.He and Ragnild had five children, not all of them recorded. The oldest,Mikkel, stayed on the farm and was "a writer of some repute," according tothe Yeakel compiliation. Knud Larson was the youngest.
