Larry Crumrine passed away on Friday, August 15, 2014 at his home in Alamogord, New Mexico with his loving life Leila by his side.
Larry was born 17 Januarly 1941 in Hazelton, Idaho where he attended grade school and graduated from Valley High School in 1959.
He was preceded indeath by his father and mother, Raymond and Edith Crumrine, long time residents of Hazelton and Twin Falls, Idaho.
Larry graduated from McPherson College with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry in 1063 and from Southern Methodist Unifersity with a Master's Degree in Engineering Administration in 1974. Between his college pursuits he joined the Peace corps where he taught school in aghbor, Nigeria, west Africa from 1964 through 1965.
Following his Peace Corps assignment Larry joined the United States Air Force in 1966 where he spent 27 years serving his country as fighter pilot and other positions rising to the rank of Colonel when he retired in 1992. During his career he amassed 845 combat flying hours in the F-4 Phantom fighter during the Vietnam Conflict earning numerous awards including Distinguished Flying Cross w/1 BOLC, Air Medal w/28 BOLC, Defense Distinguished Service Medal, and Legionof Merit. Larry was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
Larry is survived by his wife Leila (Falkenburry) Crumrine whom he met and married in Anchorage, Alaska in August 1982 and 3 children, Mark Crumrine of Carson city Nevada, Darrell Crumrine of Wilminton, Ohio, Heidi Clarke of Dale City, Virginia, and Sisters Carol Davis of Hemet, California and Kathy Clark of Eden, Idaho.
He also leaves behind 6 grandchildren.
