From the October 26, 1982, edition of the Wisconsin State Journal Lestina, Kirmith W. MADISON -- Kirmith W. Lestina, age 67, of 161 Judd Street, died on Saturday, October 23, 1982, at home after a long illness. He was born January 30, 1915, at McGregor, Iowa, and has been a Madison resident since 1946. He was employed with Iowa Medical Products for thirty-one years, retiring in 1978. Kirmith married the former Charlotte Creasey on August 15, 1937, at McGregor, Iowa. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion Post #360. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife Charlotte; a daughter, Mrs. Dale (Linda) Downie of Monona; two grandchildren, David and Laura Downie of Monona; a sister, Lorena Benskin of Aurora, Colorado; a brother, Kenneth Lestina of Keokuk, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Henry. Funeral services will be held at HOLY CROSS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2670 Milwaukee Street, at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 27, 1982, with the Reverend George M. Orvick officiating. Entombment will be in Roselawn Chapel of the Times. Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday, October 26, 1982, at the GUNDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive.
