Lestina, Charlotte M.

MADISON -- Charlotte M. Lestina, age 85, of Madison, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2001. She was born on March 12, 1916, in McGregor, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Bertha (Finch) Creasey. She married the late Kirmeth Lestina. Charlotte and her husband moved to Madison in 1945 and she worked for Oscar Mayer for 27 years. Her final years were spent living at Cedar Crossing in DeForest. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Madison. Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Linda (Dale) Downie of Monona; a grandson, David (Sara) Downie and their son Drew of Stoughton; a granddaughter, Laura (Russ) Brudos and their children Fred and Jenna of Monona; and a sister, Martha McBride of Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kermeth Lestina; a sister, Margaret Chapin; and a brother, George Creasey. Funeral services will be held at HOLY CROSS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2670 Milwaukee Street, at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 11, 2001, Reverend Bernt Tweit presiding. Entombment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Friends may call from 5:30 until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, April 10, 2001, at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive.
