Kenneth was a graduate of the U. S. Naval Academy, and retired asa U. S. Navy Captain in 1979. His last command at sea duty was a nuclear submarine, after which he served shore duty in command of the Alcoholic Rehabilitation program at the Norfolk Naval Base. He remained very active in his retirement in the C. G. Jung Society of Tidewater, the Williamsburg Friends Meeting, and other volunteer activities.
